It’s no news that there is COVID-19 pandemic in the world, it’s notable that about half of the world is in lock down of one form or another where people are advised and in some cases compelled to stay at home by authorities and not go out except for essential reasons like food, medication etc. Many businesses and organisation have to find a new way of working by adapting to the pandemic dictates and working from home.
Now, if you are one of the people who thinks that this pandemic is from God. Let me be clear, it is not. And if you are in doubt I believe the following 5 reasons from the bible will change your mind.
Every good and perfect gift comes from God.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. James 1:17 The bible is expressly clear that every good gift in this world comes from God.
Corona virus is not a good gift. It is not a perfect gift.
God gives gifts and His gifts are great and perfect. God is the same always, He does not change His word or His will. He said there is no reason why He would change His mind about giving a perfect gift to you. Now you might think that your sin can make Him change His mind? Not at all, He gave you Jesus when you did not have a clue how to get to know Him or please Him for your salvation. Why would He now give you something else after coming to Him.
If you receive a package and it’s from God, it will never be corona virus. Now go ahead and unwrap His package of health and healing that He has earmarked for you ratified by the blood of Jesus and assured by His word.
God’s will is that we prosper and be in health.
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2
Corona virus infection leads to sickness but God’s will is for you and I to be in good health.
That promise from Gold holds no matter what is happening on earth today. It’s rock solid and unchangeable. If you are in sickness of any kind especially the virus. Know this that it is His will that you stand up from that bed of sickness and be healed. In fact His will is for you to be healthy all the days of your life.
Can you dare to believe that? Yes you can because it is true. when you know God’s will it remove doubts form your mind and lies from the devil that this virus is God’s idea of punishing or judging the earth.
God’s plans for your future is good, it’s not to harm you
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
The devil has come to kill and steal your future but Jesus said He came so we may have life and have it in abundance. Many people in the world had died form this pandemic and the devil has killed and stole many people’s future.
But be clear about this, just because that happened does not mean that it is the will of God. Every seconds, every minute in time, what God said about your future is the truth, His thinking and His plans for your future is to have peace not evil, to be successful not fail. Your future has not been destined by God to be truncated and destroyed by corona virus infection. If the devil is trying to put fear in your heart about this pandemic, put your foot on the ground and refuse to give in. You have a glorious future. You have a corona virus-free future.
God promise that no plague will come near your dwelling place
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. Psalm 91:10
Corona virus is a plague infecting hundred of thousands of people worldwide. Now if you are a believer, you can’t think like the world in this season. Whilst the medical guidelines of taking the precautions and health safety is important, you must put your trust in that. You must release your faith to believe God’s word that no plague will come to your house.
Thre is a story about a minister called John G Lake, a minister of healing in Early twentieth century who was a missionary in South Africa from 1908-1913. At this time there was bubonic plague which killed many and Lake buried many people with the plague. The plague was extremely contagious and if the plague touched another living person, their death was certain.
When it was noticed by doctors that neither Lake nor his assistant were affected, he was asked what his secret was. Lake said “The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the Law of Sin and Death Roman 8:2 I believe that just as long as I keep my soul in contact with the living God so that His Spirit is flowing into my soul and body, that no germ will ever attach itself to me, for the Spirit of God will kill it.” In order to test what He told them, Lake suggested the doctor take a sample of the foam from the mouth of a victim and observe it under a microscope which they confirmed the plague was very much alive, Lake took some of the foam in his hand and held it under a microscope. The plague bacteria instantly died in Lake’s hand. Why? Lake believed the Word of God is stronger than any sickness or any disease. No plague of any kind can withstand the power of God in you just as no devil can withstand the resistant authority you have in Christ Jesus.
God promise to preserve you from all evil.
The LORD shall preserve you from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. Psalm 121:7
The word preserve means to maintain (something) in its original or existing state without a decline in quality such as trying to preserve your good health by eating well and exercising regularly.
Corona virus is evil, God’s plan is to preserve you from it’s manifestation and expression. He will preserve you from the associated problems of corona virus. It’s no news that because of the pandemic, many businesses have collapsed and people are in dire financial straits despite unprecedented financial stimulus from governments around the world.
Now the promise of God is sure, He will preserve you from all evil, that means that you will not be engulf by the devil by corona virus and it’s manifestation and after effects. He will preserve your minds and through His word you will walk fearlessly and succeed in these times.
Someone said Pastor, how do I walk in all this now I know that COVID-19 is not the will of God.

Firstly, purpose in your heart that you are going to believe God no matter what you hear, no matter what happen.
Declare over yourself the promises in the word of God without wavering and doubts continually.
Don’t give up. Stay there, someone would give way at the end of the day. It would be COVID-19, not you.
